Integrated OLE Object v. clickable Word item

when I add a file as an OLE object and generate a requirements
document, I can only access that file when I double-click it in the
generated document. I was wondering whether there is a way to expand
the file so that it is integrated into the requirements and not a
clickable item.

Is there a way that this can be done?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure the mechanics, but its real important to know if you are pasting a LINK to an OLE file, or the OLE itself.

If you can see the contents then the OLE is in the object, and is activatable in the manner you suggest.

If you want to paste just the contents of the file and not the file, then open the file (in Word?), select-all, copy; then either paste-special into DOORS create a sub-document in Word, paste into there, close that; then select the sub-document, copy, and paste into DOORS. Don't recall which or works.
